2023 Fall Festival
The Fall Festival will be held at the Market Platz in Fredericksburg on Saturday, September 16. It benefits Cross Trails, our camping ministry. A swimming pool at Ebert Ranch Camp in Harper is on the camp’s wish list. Zion’s Women of the Church (WELCA) will have a booth so we’re asking the congregation to help us fill our table with items to sell. These things have been popular in the past: homemade baked goods (bread, scones, pies, cinnamon rolls, cookies & pretzels), plants, crafts, jewelry, sewing, Christmas decorations, and gift items. Thrivent Insurance has given us a small grant to cover some of the cost of our baked goods. Baking supplies will be in the church kitchen after VBS. Recipes, flour, sugar, baking chips, nuts, and baking pans. Everything should be packaged in snack bags, zip lock bags or aluminum foil—2 cookies to a snack bag. Take what you need: sour cream, margarine or butter, and eggs are in the refrigerator. Mark your baked goods and leave them in the chest freezer. Most of our baked goods can be made 3 or 4 weeks ahead of time and frozen.
