During the month of February, we will collect Personal Care Kit items for Lutheran World Relief. Cleanliness helps a person feel more human. The simple items included in a Lutheran World Relief Personal Care Kit provide much-needed self-care, critical germ fighting, and a chance to regain dignity amidst situations of fear and uncertainty. Enclosed is a list of Kit items. Shop for light or medium-weight, dark colored towels that are easier for Kit recipients to hand wash and air dry, take up less storage space and are considerably less expensive than the fluffier towels we may prefer to use. 20” x 40” is a good guideline for a minimum size. Please give new items only that are free of any symbols, flags or camouflage. Put Kit items in the labeled box in the Atrium.
Items needed are:
- 1 light weight dark colored bath towel (20×40)
- 1 adult toothbrush
- 2 or 3 bars of soap
- 1 sturdy comb
- 1 metal nail clipper
