Cleanliness helps a person feel more human. When families find their homes destroyed or must flee for their safety, they arrive at a refuge camp or other place of safety, scared and dirty from travel.
The simple items included in a Lutheran World Relief Personal Care Kit provide much needed self-care, critical germ fighting, and a chance to regain dignity amidst situations of fear and uncertainty.
Women of the church will be collecting personal care items during the month of February.
Please include materials for a kit on your shopping list during Lent as we think of our Lord’s suffering for us. See the list of items needed per kit on the left side of this page. Please leave your purchased items in the labeled box in the Atrium.
Items needed are:
1 light weight dark colored bath towel
2 or 3 bath-size bars of soap
1 adult toothbrush in it’s original packaging
1 sturdy comb
1 metal nail clipper.
