Rhonda has a lifetime love of singing and has sung in many choirs over the years such as the Southwest Texas (SWT) University Chorale, the Corpus Christi Community Choir and the Fredericksburg Community Chorale. While singing with the SWT Varsity Chorale, she toured Switzerland for six weeks and had the opportunity to sing in many beautiful European cathedrals. Rhonda has also enjoyed performing in musicals at Fredericksburg Theater Company (FTC) since 2010. She served as music director for Frozen Jr. and Spamalot at FTC as well as directing The Lion King and Shrek for Fredericksburg Community Education’s summer musicals. The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Rhonda Behrends, sings a variety of music genres including traditional and contemporary music as well as gospel music. If you are considering joining the choir, Rhonda will provide study aids to help you to learn a part. She encourages anyone who loves singing to join the Chancel Choir as they work together to enrich the worship at Zion Lutheran Church.
